Planting Lavender in Autumn

Planting Lavender in Autumn is late, but it can work. The soil is still warm, frosts are still some way off for most people, so there is time for new plants to establish roots before it gets too cold.

The other option is to pot up your Lavender and grow under shelter to plant out in warm soil the following Spring to give them a racing start in their first year.
