Description

Hinnonmaki Yellow Gooseberry Bushes

Description of Hinnonmaki Yellow Plants & Fruit:
These vigorous gooseberries produce delicious, big yellow fruit that are great to eat freshly picked or that can cooked up into crumbles, fools, jams or even jelly. Hinnonmaki Yellow Gooseberries are short spreading hardy tough plants with great disease resistance (making mildew almost a thing of the past), which makes them ideal for organic growing. They crop very well from an early age, so unless you thin the fruit in the early years, it is advisable to give the spreading branches some support, or they may break under the weight of a full crop (this "problem" goes away as the plants get older and sturdier).
