Bareroot rose bushes were grafted about 2 years prior to delivery, and were cut back hard leaving around 30-40cm of top growth, which will encourage strong regrowth from the base.

Standard or "tree roses" have a clear stem 100cm tall.

Pot sizes are measured by their volume in litres, except for the smallest size, 9cm / p9 pots, which are roughly half a litre.

Description

Silver Anniversary Hybrid Tea Rose

Silver Anniversary is a Hybrid Tea Rose with big, pointy buds that open into well shaped, ivory white, thick double flowers that don't get flattened by heavy rain. Good fruity scent. The stems are a bit longer than average and the cut flowers have a great vase life. To 2.5ft.

It is a tough plant, suitable for growing anywhere in the UK, but will flower noticeably better in full sun than even light shade.

Bred by the husband and wife team, Pernille and Mogens Olesen, at the Danish company Poulsen Roser, and introduced in the early or mid-1990's. The breeding name was Poulari, and it was first exhibited under the name Karen Blixen in 1996. Baroness Blixen wrote the memoir Out of Africa about her time in Kenya between 1913 and 1937.
