The Mooodz Echinacea range is more compact than the species, making a tighter layer of flowers above the dense, deep green foliage that covers the soil well. Echinaceas in general are very easy to grow in any soil with good drainage, especially poor, sandy soil.
They are not really shade-tolerant plants, and do need full sun to flower strongly - up to a point they will grow nice enough foliage in dappled shade, but they won't flower much.
