It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy this fruity drink in the sunshine.
If you grow your own strawberries, you may find yourself with an abundance of them, some of which may be a little overripe. A strawberry daiquiri is perfect for using up your excess crop.
Strawberry daiquiri’s are typically made with ice, but you can make the recipe below without any.
Ingredients
120ml rum
525g strawberries
175g ice
juice 1/2 lime
1 tbsp sugar syrup
Method
- Hull your strawberries (we’re using Elsanta Strawberries in this recipe), and then blend.
- To remove some of the seeds, push the purée through a sieve.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, along with the strawberry purée and blend together.
Serve in a large cocktail glass, with a sliced strawberry around the rim of the glass. Enjoy outside in the sunshine!
