Vigorous and with bronzy leaves, Cornelia is a hybrid musk that carries strongly scented, clusters of small, flat coppery-apricot blooms in July to September, which fade to pink. Lovely in the autumn, and excellent as a hedge. It has an Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit, so it is reliably disease free and a good choice for any gardener. To 5 ft x 5 ft

Bred by Rev. Joseph Hardwick Pemberton (1854-1926) of Essex in 1925. The Reverend Pemberton founded Pemberton Nursery at Romford, where along with his team, he created the hybrid musk lineage of roses. Some of his other creations include Prosperity and Penelope.
