Description
Rosa Fru Dagmar Hastrup - Shrub Roses
Description of Fru Dagmar Hastrup Roses:
Fru Dagmar is a very reliable little shrub rose with small, fragrant, simple pink flowers that open to expose the yellow centre. It flowers from late spring until the winter frosts and the bright red rose hips look lovely during the autumn as the foliage changes colour.
With its lush little leaves, it is good for a low hedge.

History and Parentage of Fru Dagmar Hastrup Roses:
This rose is listed as Frau / Fru Dagmar Hastrup and Frau / Fru Dagmar Hartopp. The Hartopp name is the original, but we generally see it listed as Hastrup in the UK. It was bred in Germany and was brought to Britain in 1914, right before the start of WW1.
