Economy tree guards

These tree guards arrive flat-packed. They are in fact tubular and return to the correct shape when their strapping is cut. Our Economy tree guards are supplied with releasable cable ties (one for the 60 cm guard and two for the 120cm guard). They require a stake and are generally used when planting whips and lightly feathered bareroot stock. They are not suitable for use with standards or fruit trees where you will find our Heavy Duty Tree guards serve you better.

Please note that these tree guards are most effective when the guard is pushed at least 1" (2.5cms) into the soil. A little more is better. This helps prevents voles and mice from chewing the bark at ground level. Charming though they are, they can be a complete menace with young hedge plants and trees.
