Ultralight Digging Spade

Ultralight Digging Spade, Made by Wilkinson Sword 

This expertly crafted, strong gardening spade is perfect for digging from dawn till dusk. It is up to 40% lighter than traditional digging spades, making it comfortable to use for prolonged periods. The rubber grip and coating on the shaft are soft on the hands and slip-resistant. 

The rust resistant head is stainless steel and has a serrated edge on one side for slicing roots.

Please note: garden spades & forks are not intended to be used as levers for prying up tough roots or large amounts of soil and rock. Using them this way is by far the number one reason that they break. If you need to lever a heavy plant out of the ground, use a simple solid iron bar, or (better for your back) dig deeper and cut the roots with a saw or axe.
