Description

Dennistons Superb Plums

An old favourite, this is a safe, heavy cropper. Dennistons Superb plum trees (sometimes also known as Imperial Gage - although it is a plum) can be heavy with sweet and juicy plums that are excellent for cooking, jam making and desserts. Loves richer soils and always crops better in a warm spot. Like most plums, Dennistons Superb is self-fertile although it will produce heavier crops if cross pollinated. The fruit ripens in late August in the south and a week or two later in the North. As with so many of the less well known plums, the flavour of a Dennistons will knock spots of pretty much any plum you will find in your local superstore.

Please note that all our Denniston's Superb plum trees are on St Julien A rootstocks unless otherwise described.
